Secure Data Destruction is at the heart of TechBack’s recycling model. Our East Syracuse facility was designed around an enclosed ITAD processing space where data-bearing devices are immediately secured, then sanitized or destroyed under controlled conditions. Our facility structure allows us to maintain continuous chain-of-custody from intake through certified destruction.

Unlike open warehouse cages commonly used in the industry, all data-bearing devices are immediately secured inside a fully enclosed, private ITAD processing space designed specifically for handling sensitive equipment.

Facility Access
Only authorized personnel are permitted inside the ITAD processing area, ensuring sensitive equipment is handled only by HIPAA-trained staff. With individual client lockers providing an extra layer of containment.

Video Oversight
Eight security cameras monitor intake, storage, and destruction areas, creating a continuous visual record. Reinforcing chain-of-custody with documented verification of secure handling throughout the destruction process.
